While originally on the pre-med path, Parker Law Firm associate attorney, Corwyn Davis, decided to also follow his passion for politics and earned his law degree in hopes of someday becoming a legislator. Formerly an assistant district attorney for Dallas County, and manager and owner of The Davis Law Group PC-focused on plaintiff injury and criminal defense, Davis is an experienced trial attorney. He has served in various capacities on multiple non-profit boards of directors. Recently he was an adjunct professor, teaching trial advocacy at the University of North Texas at Dallas School of Law, and he’s coached multiple local, regional, and national winning moot court teams.
As a Dallas native, Corwyn continues to be an active member of his community. He says, “I didn’t grow up well-off, so I spend a lot of time in the area I was raised in and still live in for the most part. Most folks that hire injury attorneys aren’t rich or well-off either. They are people from similar walks of life as me. I think it usually helps me relate to them because I can understand some of their most basic needs in the moment and far reaching.” Socioeconomic equality and affordable and equitable housing are issues close to Davis’ heart. Most of his previous clients would describe him as extended family. “I’m stern yet approachable, and I don’t take crap from my opponents. I try to do what’s best for my clients and not just what makes them feel good in the moment,” Davis says.
When not meeting with clients or representing them in the courtroom, Davis enjoys traveling the world and acquiring new passport stamps. “Most recently I went to Cartagena, Colombia. It was such a beautiful city with beautiful people and great food. I’m ready to go back,” he says. Davis makes it clear, however, that his family is the most important thing in his life. “Everything I do is for them.”
