Ryan Anderson always knew a career in law would be in his future. He had the chance to take a constitutional law class at the University of Texas at Austin, where still to this day he keeps the textbooks on his bookshelf at home. The law interest was easy for Ryan, he was drawn in by the number of cases that were about an ordinary lawyer seeking to help an ordinary person with a relatively ordinary problem.
As of 2016, Ryan is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law. At the Parker Law Firm, he has uncovered the humanity of the law as well. “I like representing the underdog or the little guy. Our work actually does help ordinary people with real problems,” Ryan says.
After his undergraduate study at UT, Ryan attended the law school of Saint Mary’s in San Antonio. He has spent his entire career in the DFW area toiling away as a litigator and trial lawyer. Ryan was approached about joining Parker Law Firm in 2012. As an avid hockey game attendee, Ryan knew he would fit right in after seeing Brad’s Dallas Stars memorabilia showcased throughout the office.
He reminisces about his early days in the courtroom as he describes the first case he tried to a jury. “A kid had his foot run over by a car at a crosswalk. The driver simply wasn’t paying attention, but it still took a long time to get the trial date. When my client took the stand to testify about his injuries - he couldn’t remember for certain which foot had been run over. We won the case, but it was a memorable lesson about real people in the legal system, not to mention a memorable first jury trial.”
Ryan’s professional style and demeanor are distinct. He believes that there is a time to talk and a time to listen. “I want my clients to know that I really hear them,” he explains. Ryan returns his clients’ calls the same day and is always accessible to answer their questions directly.
If Ryan is not protecting clients, he is normally busy with family. His wife, Monica and three children live in the DFW metroplex.
Ryan continues to tirelessly apply his no-nonsense approach to serving every client just as he would expect to be treated.
